Control difficulty
The maximum sets the largest initial operand. Multiplication combines two values in that range. Exact division first multiplies a quotient by a divisor so every answer is an integer. Subtraction rearranges the operands to avoid negative results.
Keep the key paired
Every question has a fixed number and the answer PDF uses the same layout. Save the settings JSON with the worksheet. Changing only the seed produces a new sequence while keeping the difficulty parameters.
A randomized worksheet can repeat a fact. That can be useful for fluency practice, but review the sheet before assigning it if you need a balanced curriculum or a no-repeat exam.
Build a paired worksheet and key
Choose Arithmetic worksheet, an operation, an operand maximum and a question count. For multiplication with a maximum of 12, both factors come from 1–12. A row such as 7×9 has answer 63. For exact division, the same underlying pair becomes 63÷9 with answer 7; the dividend can therefore exceed the maximum setting.
Download the worksheet PDF and answer-key PDF together. The seed controls the sequence, while the operation controls how each pair is interpreted. If you change the maximum, you have changed the task even when the seed remains 42. Name saved files with the topic or class because repeated browser downloads may acquire numeric filename suffixes.
Check suitability before assigning it
Try a few questions with the intended learner. Large operand settings can create multiplication or division problems beyond the skill being practiced. The generator does not assess reading level, curriculum alignment or learning needs. If you need negative subtraction, decimal division or a deliberate distribution of fact families, use another worksheet design rather than assuming this integer generator has included those features.
